Road Rage ends in Assault Charges

On Wednesday 2 August 2017 police were dispatched to an assault in progress on Waterloo St. Police attended and found a male bleeding from the face and severe swelling to his cheek and eye. After investigation it was found that a moving truck had cut off a cyclist. The cyclist approached the truck to voice his opinions and the passenger of the truck exited and came over to the cyclist. The male punched the cyclist in the face several times until he fell off the bike then continued to strike him in the face.

The cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries to his nose, cheek and eye area. A 19 year old Toronto male was arrested at the scene and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
