(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a two vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Kippen Road and Morrison Line just before 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.
Preliminary investigation has revealed a Ford Escape sports utility vehicle was northbound on Morrison Line when it collided with a Peterbilt semi-tractor trailer that was westbound on Kippen Road.
The driver and lone occupant of the Ford Escape, 34 year old Brian SCHULTZ from Zurich was transported by land ambulance to a local hospital. He remains in hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver and lone occupant of the transport truck was uninjured.
OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are currently on scene investigating.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
