(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On November 05, at 10:23pm officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 3, west of Dempsey Road, in the Ward of Ameliasburgh.
A westbound motor vehicle left the roadway striking a hydro pole. The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance to be treated for minor injuries. The roadway was closed for several hours as Hydro One workers repaired the damaged pole.
OPP charged the 17-year old male driver from Ameliasburgh with Careless Driving, contrary to Section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.
