(ESSEX, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision this morning at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Essex County Road 11 (Walker Road) in Essex.
A pickup truck struck a hydro pole shearing the pole in half causing wires to be strewn across the road.
No one was injured in the crash.
Essex County Road 11 between Alma Street and South Malden Road as well as Essex County Road 18 (Pike Road in Amherstburg) west of Essex County Road 11 to Smith Sideroad in Amherstburg will be closed for the next several hours while hydro crews repair the pole.
