(PEMBROKE, ON) – A Whitewater Region man is facing charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) as the result of being found in possession of marihuana and methamphetamine during a RIDE check by officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Laurentian Valley Township on January 8, 2016. 27 year old Luke DEROUIN is charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana and one count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine, both contrary to the CDSA. He was also charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with his Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code. DEROUIN was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 12, 2016.
