(Deseronto, ON)- Officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a RIDE program yesterday afternoon in Deseronto.
At 2:50 p.m. officers checked a vehicle after detecting the odour of marihuana coming from within the vehicle.
The driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Police also located approximately 50 lbs of stolen copper wire inside the vehicle.
23 year-old Richard TOTH of Deseronto faces charges of possession of a
controlled substance, obstruct police, and possession of stolen property.
Police are continuing their investigation and are attempting to locate the owner of the copper wire.
