(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a man with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Unmarked Cigarettes. The charges stem from a vehicle stop at a R.I.D.E check on Highway 11 in Eby Township. The subsequent investigation led to the seizure of prescription pills and contraband cigarettes. The incident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. on November 24, 2013.
Charged is Micheal SCOFIELD age 38 of Connaught, Ontario. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on January 23, 2014.
