Richard THOMPSON – Break and Enter X3

(TECUMSEH, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested a male in relation to a three break and enters to residences in Tecumseh.

On September 15, 2015, a residence on South Talbot Road in Tecumseh called police to report that an unknown person had broken into their house and stolen a significant amount of property, including jewelry, computers, IPAD’s, a camera, a cell phone as well as cash from inside the residence.

On September 25, 2015, another resident on South Talbot Road in Tecumseh called the OPP to report a break in to their residence. In that instance, some Canadian cash was taken.

On November 17, 2015 another residence on North Talbot Road was entered and again, cash was taken from the residence.

Through investigation, officers were able to determine an accused person in all three break in’s.

Richard THOMPSON, age 51 of Windsor was arrested and has been charged with three counts of Break and Enter to a Dwelling. He will appear in a Windsor court on January 7, 2015 to answer to the charges.

The OPP would like to remind the residents of Essex County to remain vigilant at all times to suspicious people or vehicles, especially during the holiday season when criminals are looking for a quick buck. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please don’t hesitate to call the police.
