(LEAMINGTON, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding an erratic driver on April 26, 2015 at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Oak Street East in Leamington.
Officers located the vehicle, a blue Chrysler, in the 400 block of Oak Street East and proceeded to stop the vehicle.
The male driver of the vehicle exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested at the scene. Further information revealed that he was on conditions from a previous criminal charge, not to consume alcohol.
Ricardo LOPEZ-ALVAREZ, age 27 of Leamington was charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content, Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing and will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.
