(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 124 calls for service. Police responded to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township, and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday night at 6:00 p.m. until Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.
There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, alarms, 911 hang-ups, domestic/family disputes, Liquor Licence Act complaints, mischief complaints, motor vehicle collisions, thefts, assaults and impaired drivers.
On December 10, 2016 at approximately 09:10 pm officers were called to a local Orillia restaurant with reports of a possible impaired driver. Upon arrival officers from the Orillia OPP commenced an investigation. As a result of that investigation 29 year old Ricardo GROEN of Oro-Medonte was charged with:
