(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Members of the Crime unit from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in a fraud investigation in the Collingwood area.
The investigation was initiated as a result of fraud complaints in relation to an employee of a property management business based out of Collingwood. Investigation by the OPP Crime Unit uncovered fraudulent financial activity involving various condominium corporations in Collingwood, The Blue Mountains and Barrie area. Detectives have now laid charges in the case.
Charged is 41 year-old Rhonda MCCARTHY of Springwater Township, she is facing charges of fraud over $5000, theft over $5000 and uttering forged document. She is to appear in Collingwood court on the 29th of December 2015.
