(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Thursday March 07, 2013, Perth County OPP received a call from a Listowel resident who advised that her computer screen was locked with the screen showing that the RCMP had locked the screen as a result of viewing pornography. The resident was told to forward $200 via a money transfer service to have it unlocked.
This resident is one of the many victims contacting police services all across Canada reporting that their computers are frozen or that they are locked out” of their computers.
