(MIDLAND, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment have arrested and charged a Markham man following a two month long internet investigation.
On November 27, 2017 police executed a search warrant at a Markham residence. As a result of this investigation, one computer and several other related items were seized.
On November 27, 2017, police arrested Corrado Giovanni BURGARETTA, 29-years- old of the Markham, Ontario and charged him with one count of Failing to Comply with his Recognizance of Bail, one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count Accessing Child Pornography.
The accused was released at a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on January 15, 2018.
The investigation is continuing.
