Repeat Offender Arrested In Brussels – Name Released

(HURON EAST, ON) – Members from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Property Crimes Unit have arrested and charged a 23-year-old male from Brussels with Possession of Stolen Property.

On November 4, 2016 the victim of a break and enter reported to police someone had entered into her Turnberry Street residence over the last month and stole a jewellery box, DVDs, clothing and various other household items.

Investigators were successful in identifying a suspect and recovering some of the stolen property.

On November 8, 2016 members from the Huron OPP Detachment located the suspect in Brussels. He was taken into custody without incident. As a result, 23-year-old Brandon STONE, from Brussels has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. He has since been released from custody with a court date scheduled for December 5, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
