(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Criminal charges have been laid against a Clinton resident following a lengthy investigation conducted by members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment, OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU).
This ongoing investigation has determined the accused was one of two individuals that forced entry into a Clinton pharmacy located on King Street on September 5, 2016. Once inside the suspects stole prescription drugs that had an estimated street value of $17,000.
Investigators have also determined the accused was responsible for a residential break, enter and theft that took place at an Isaac Street home in Clinton last December. Approximately $3,000 in jewellery, cash and other personal items were stolen in this break and enter.
On November 7, 2018 Huron OPP arrested and charged 33-year-old Christopher KURTH with the following charges:
Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
Break, Enter a Dwelling House
Use a Disguise With Intent
Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 19, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
