Repeat Offender Arrested After Crashing Into Hedge – Name Released

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On Thursday December 21, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on Guelph Street, Erin. It was reported that a green Toyota pickup had driven through a driveway, over a lawn and into a hedge.

OPP attended the crash and while speaking with the lone occupant, a male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was impaired by drug. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Detachment for testing.

30-year-old Torey Jaydon TOOZE of Erin has been charged with Driving while Impaired by Drug and with Failing to Comply with a Probation order contrary to the Criminal Code. He was also charged with Possession of Hash Oil over 1gram and Possession of Oxycodone contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was held for Bail.
