RENFREW OPP INVESTIGATE SHOOTING Charges Laid

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to investigate after a male was shot on Tuesday evening. At approximately 9:30pm on Tuesday April 1 a 52-year-old male victim reported being shot at while outside a residence on Rox Siding Road in the Township of Whitewater Region. The victim was transported to hospital by paramedics where he was treated for his injuries and released. OPP officers attended the suspect’s residence where a 54-year-old male was taken into police custody.

Paul LEBLANC 54, of Whitewater Region Township has been charged with careless use of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm. He is appearing in bail court in Pembroke on April 2. Detective Constable Joey Limlaw is leading the investigation.
