(PEMBROKE, ON) – In the early morning hours of July 24, 2015 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in a white SUV in Pembroke. While officers were enroute to the initial complaint a second call was received regarding a single motor vehicle collision involving a white SUV on Pembroke St. West in the City of Pembroke. The SUV driver was located nearby attempting to hide in some bushes. The male driver was found to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested. Reijo Mansur TYRVAINEN, age 34 of London, Ontario, is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Impaired Driving
· Fail or Refuse to Provide Breath Sample
· Breach of Recognizance – 3 counts
TYRVAINEN was held for a bail hearing.
