If you have been watching council meetings you will know an old friend of reeve neil vincent is getting $30,000+ to “help interview” people for the CAO and Head of Public Works positions.
We all know this is how the reeve rewards loyalty to his regime. Of course some of you may think this is all above board, and the reeve’s buddy is the keeper of some magical question(s) that will help filter out parasites. Remember the last CAO didn’t know the Ombudsman was free, didn’t know he wanted closed meetings recorded, complained about no infrastructure reserves and did nothing about it, couldn’t figure out how much it cost to clear sidewalks or find a way to clear them and she somehow cleared the screening process. She cost taxpayers about $150,000 last year, plus the $20,000 bonus for neil’s buddy to “help interview” applicants.
