Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE)

Last night, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a joint RIDE spot check with OPP in the Thamesville area.
Approximately 100 vehicles were checked with only roadside test administered and one seatbelt ticket issued.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to remind all motorists that an increase in RIDE spot checks will be visible as we approach the holiday season. Should you be drinking, please plan ahead and make arrangements for a safe ride home. Those who see a suspected impaired driver on our roadways are urged to call 911 immediately.
