(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reminds residents to protect your property and to be a good neighbour – when you are out and about, keep an eye on your neighbour’s homes, vehicles, livestock, and equipment, and tell them and the police, about anything that makes you uneasy or suspicious.
On May 15, 2016, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of mischief. At approximately 12:59 a.m. a culprit was observed near a silver Chevrolet pickup truck, parked at a residence on Emily Street in the Municipality of North Middlesex, Ontario. He is described as a short male, with a thin build. The vehicle sustained damage to the door handle.
On May 15, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of an attempt theft of a vehicle. Between approximately 10:00 p.m. on May 14, 2016, and 12:00 p.m. on May 15, 2016, culprit(s) attended a residential property on William Street, in the Municipality of North Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a green Chevrolet pickup truck. The vehicle sustained damage to the steering column and ignition.
On May 17, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft. In the early morning hours, culprit(s) attended a residential property on Elizabeth Street, in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a vehicle. Power tools were stolen.
On May 18, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a theft which occurred earlier in the week. Culprit(s) attended a rural property on Cuddy Drive, in the Municipality of Adelaide Metcalfe, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and stole a quantity of copper wire.
On May 18, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break and enter incident. In the early morning hours of May 18, 2016, culprit(s) attended a property on Sixteen Mile Road, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a residence. A long gun was stolen.
On May 19, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break and enter incident. Between approximately 10:30 a.m. on May 18, 2016, and 7:30 a.m. on May 19, 2016, culprit(s) attended a residential property on Seed Road, in the Municipality of Adelaide-Metcalfe, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed and accessed the interior of an outbuilding. Power tools were stolen.
On May 19, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break and enter incident. Between approximately 8:00 p.m. on May 18, 2016, and 11:00 a.m. on May 19, 2016, culprit(s) attended a property on Coldstream Road, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a residence. Electronics and jewelry were stolen.
On May 19, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a theft of a motor vehicle. Between approximately 10:00 p.m. on May 18, 2016, and 9:00 a.m. on May 19, 2016, culprit(s) attended a residential property on Peregrine Avenue, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, Ontario. A black Ford pickup truck was stolen from the driveway.
On May 19, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a daylight break and enter incident. On May 19, 2016, culprit(s) attended a property on New Ontario Road, in the Municipality of North Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a residence. Electronics and jewelry were stolen.
Consider better control of undesired movements onto and within your property: install landscaping, fencing, or barriers, to increase the conspicuousness of anyone breaching a boundary, or reinforce an existing boundary that’s already subject to trespass.
