(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – Break and enter incidents have continued throughout Middlesex County during the month of September. The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) urges residents to protect your property by ensuring outside lights work, having a trusted neighbour keep an eye out while you plan to be away, lock garage doors and windows (even if you are going out for a short time), and secure all entry doors with good quality locks.
On September 2, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft. Overnight, culprit(s) attended the fairgrounds on Upper Queen Street, in Thames Centre, Ontario, broke the front window of a food booth, and stole candy.
On September 6, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft at a structure located on a rural property on Bornish Drive, in North Middlesex, Ontario. Copper wiring was stolen.
Sometime between the last week of August 2016, and September 9, 2016, culprit(s) attended a rural property on Springbank Road, in North Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a structure. Copper wire was stolen.
On September 10, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft incident, which occurred overnight on Meadowbrook Lane, in Thames Centre, Ontario. Culprit(s) attended the residential property, trespassed, and accessed the interior of a garage. Golf clubs were stolen.
On September 13, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft incident. Culprit(s) attended a residential property on Quaker Lane, in Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a workshop. Tools were stolen.
On September 14, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft from a garage. Multiple construction items were stolen from the commercial business on Elginfield Road, in North Middlesex, Ontario.
On September 15, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft incident, which occurred overnight. Culprit(s) attended a rural residential property on McArthur Road, in Southwest Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a drive shed. Hand and power tools, livestock implants, and liquor, were stolen.
Between approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 16, 2016, and 11:30 a.m. on September 17, 2016, culprit(s) attended a rural residential property on Elginfield Road, in North Middlesex, Ontario, and accessed the interior of two buildings. Canadian currency and credit cards were stolen.
On September 18, 2016, culprit(s) committed a daytime break and enter at a rural residence on Eight Mile Road, in Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Guitars and a laptop were stolen.
Between approximately 4:00 p.m. on September 13, 2016, and 4:00 p.m. on September 19, 2016, culprit(s) attended a residential property on Elizabeth Street, in Southwest Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a shed. Wheels, rims, and electronics were stolen.
Between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2016, culprit(s) attended a residential property on Fourteen Mile Road, in Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of the residence through a door. Jewelry and a camera were stolen.
Between approximately September 17, 2016 and September 23, 2016, culprit(s) attended a residential property on Parkhill Drive, in North Middlesex, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a driveshed through a man door. Fuel cans were stolen.
Between approximately 9:00 p.m. on September 21, 2016, and 8:00 a.m. on September 23, 2016, culprit(s) attended a rural property on Sixteen Mile Road, in Middlesex Centre, Ontario. Once on the property, they trespassed, and accessed the interior of a residence through a window. Household appliances and a dresser were stolen.
On September 23, 2016, the Middlesex County OPP responded to a break, enter, and theft incident. In the early evening of September 23, 2016, culprits were observed at a residential property on Ilderton Road, in Middlesex Centre, Ontario. A male and female stole a quantity of copper piping, and fled the area in a beige car.
