(KENORA, ON) – On Monday, November 4, 2013 at approximately 1:00 am, officers from the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Railway Street in Kenora regarding a residence and a business on fire. Both structures sustained extensive damage. The Kenora Fire Department and ambulance also attended at the scene. The occupants of the residence escaped without injuries. Several surrounding homes were evacuated for a few hours as a safety precaution. The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has been contacted and investigation into the incident is continuing.
