(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is pleased to announce that Rachel’s Challenge is coming to Southern Bruce County.
The first victim of the Columbine High School shooting on April 20, 1999 was Rachel Joy Scott. She lived her life based on principles of kindness and compassion for others. Rachel’s father, Darrell Scott, founded “Rachel’s Challenge†as a means of continuing Rachel’s dream.
Rachel’s Challenge is an inspiring true story of one girls’ dream being fulfilled a decade after her death and a powerful reminder of the little things we can do every day to make the world a better place.
Rachel’s Challenge is being presented to the students of Kincardine District Secondary School, Walkerton District Community School, Sacred Heart Secondary School and Chesley District High School the week of October 1 – October 4, 2013. In addition, 2 community sessions are being offered:
Kincardine District Secondary School – Tuesday October 1, 2013 at 6:30 pm
Walkerton District Community School – Thursday October 3, 2013 at 7:00 pm
