(Oro-Medonte, ON) – An officer from the Barrie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle that was traveling well over the posted speed limit.
On November 12th, 2013 the officer was patrolling Highway 11 within Oro-Medonte Township and observed a vehicle traveling in excess of the posted 90km/h speed limit. The officer stopped the vehicle which was being operated at 150km/h.
Rachel TENENBEIN, 32 years, of Toronto, was charged with racing a motor vehicle contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie on January 3rdth, 2014.
As a result of the charge, TENENBEIN had her motor vehicle impounded for 7 days and her driver’s license was suspended for 7 days.
