Putting Away Groceries Leads To Assault

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On January 20, 2015 the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic assault incident on Bay Street in Parry Sound.

Investigation revealed that the couple returned home from shopping and began to argue while putting away groceries. The argument escalated to physical violence and property was damaged.

A 20 year old male was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Assault – Spousal contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).

2. Mischief – Domestic contrary to the CC.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 19, 2015.
