(FORT FRANCES, ON) – The Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding residents to lock up property and vehicles to help reduce crime.
Police responded to the report of an attempted break and enter occurring sometime between June 28 – 30, 2014. Culprit(s) attempted to gain entry to a residence on the 300 block of Second Street East in Fort Frances, ON. Police noted pry marks were evident but no entry was gained.
On the night of July 4, 2014, culprit(s) gained entry and stolen small tools from a shed within the 1200 block of Third Street East in Fort Frances, ON. Police noted that there was an unsuccessful attempt to pry open a padlock. The individual(s) responsible then searched through a boat located on the same property.
