Barrie Police arrested a 34 year old female Barrie Resident for being intoxicated in the Downtown area. She was transported to Barrie Police Headquarters and Held Until she was sober. However during a rountine check of the Cell block area she punched the Officer repeatedly in the chest and shoulders conducting the checks. As a result she was charged for Assaulting a Police Officer and released with a Court Date of March 17th . There were no injuries sustained by the officer.
