Public Helps Thwart Dale Keating – Drunk Driving, No Licence, Open Liquor

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Sunday January 01, 2012 shortly before 4:30 p.m. the Perth County OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint involving a west bound green Jeep on Hwy. 8 east of Mitchell which was being driven erratically.

A Perth County OPP officer located and pulled over the Jeep east of Wellington St. in Mitchell. The driver failed a roadside breath test and was taken to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he also failed two Intoxilyzer tests. Dale Keating (38) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”. In addition he was charged with “drive motor vehicle-no licence” and with “having liquor in open container in other than licensed premises, residence or private place”. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on February 06, 2012 to answer to these charges. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
