(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested two impaired drivers at two separate locations on Monday night after citizens called in erratic drivers.
On 14 December 2015 at approximately 11:00 p.m. OPP were alerted to a green Jeep Liberty and performed a traffic stop on Highway #53 near Highway #24. OPP arrested and charged Sheila HUYGE a 66-year old from Norfolk County for Refusing to Provide a Suitable Breath Sample under the Criminal Code of Canada.
On 14 December 2015 at approximately 11:30 p.m. OPP were alerted to a grey Chevrolet Uplander and performed a traffic stop on Highway #53 near the West Quarter town line road. OPP arrested and charged Jose TAVARES a 54-year-old from the City of Woodstock for Impaired Driving and operating a vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood both contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Both individuals will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to their charges.
