Public Furious Over Reid Road Debacle – Kelly Church Plan Backfires And Asked To Resign

Do not leave the Landfill with your recyclables! Assert your Rights as one the highest taxed Citizens in Canada.

All North Huronians should feel free to drop all their recyclables off at the Works building on Josephine Street, or a less “radical” protest would be to put your recyclables beside the full bins at the Reid Road landfill site.

WFP has heard numerous reports of people being turned away at the Reid Road Landfill site because the recycle bins are full. Current Director of Public Works, Kelly Church, apparently is not intellectually capable of solving the problem, or he just doesn’t give a shit. This well-known problem has persisted for weeks, as the sign is still posted stating they are not accepting recyclables.

How hard is to order larger bins, get the bins dumped more frequently, or combination of the two? It would just take an email or phone call.

Every North Huron Resident has the Right to use the landfill, and to drop off their recyclables there. Allegedly Kelly Church has reduced the size, and number of times the bins are emptied a week, in protest of Citizens using it too much. Kelly Church should be encouraging recycling, and he is apparently doing the exact opposite. For this alone his should be fired, but council will never stand up to a department head, that is why Wingham is the desperate shape it is.

Here is an interesting tidbit. Town Staff do not have the Right to put anything in your vehicle, and under no circumstances may they touch you in anyway.

You pay for the landfill. You have taken the time to recycle. You took the time to take the recyclables to the landfill’s recycle bins. You have done your part as an excellent Citizen that cares about the environment. You should not be inconvenienced for doing your part as a responsible Citizen. Kelly Church is the only person that has failed our Community again.

WFP believes for the safety of our Community’s Children, his inability to run the Reid Road Landfill, the $70,000 Reid Road tar-and-chip disaster, 3 foot weeds and trees in our sidewalks, closed bridge, expanding pot holes, failure to keep storm drain covers free of debris, failure to alert the Public about the Foxton oil spill, refusal to clear both pedestrian paths on Hanna Bridge during the winter, etc. that Kelly Church should offer his resignation effective immediately.
