North Huron Council has agreed to have a public meeting with Morris-Turnberry regarding fire service. The meeting is set for June 27 at 7:00pm.
Brock Vodden suggested that this meeting should only be for discussing fire service. WFP agrees 100% with Brock Vodden on this. It is imperative that this issue be dealt with ASAP, and without clouding the issue with non relevant variables. What happened in the past is not relevant to this negotiation, nor are the petty differences and personal feelings.
To solve this crisis, both Councils have to agree on one thing: “What is a fair formula to calculate what NH should charge M-T for fire service in 2014 and beyondâ€Â.
WFP still believes the only fair formula is to charge based on assessment.
