The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in locating a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in the vicinity of Alvanley.
On Tuesday, February 21, a person was bitten by a stray dog that had been taken in. The dog subsequently escaped and was last seen in the vicinity of Alvanley. It is described as a medium sized, tan, Beagle-cross.
Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
