(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Over the past few days the Quinte West OPP have received several calls from citizens regarding contractors wanting to do repairs to their homes.
With the warmer weather upon us increases in door to door contractors will become more evident.
A few things that home owners should know about contractors are: Any good contractors will provide you with a written quote or a contract, will be able to provide references upon request, and won’t mind if you want to get a second opinion. A contractor may also ask for money up front, but people should be weary of contractors who ask for large sums up front.
People should also remember that a quote that sounds too good to be true, likely is.
