In the evening hours on July 3, 2014 patrol officers were patrolling the area of Stanley Park mall when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked at 1020 Ottawa St N. A patrol officer approached the vehicle and learned that the licence plates attached had been reported stolen. Two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot when the officer stopped his cruiser. Police pursued the driver on foot and successfully arrested her. Additional patrol officers arrived on scene and with the assistance of Canine, a track for the passenger was initiated. Within minutes, the Canine successfully tracked the passenger who was hiding in a nearby dumpster. A 21 year old female was held for a bail hearing for: Possession of Stolen Property, Breach Probation x2 and Obstruct Police. A 40 year old Woodstock male was held overnight for a bail hearing for: Possession of Stolen Property, Breach Probation x2, Breach Recognizance x2.
