(Prince Edward County, ON)—On July 12, 2015 at 3:12am officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment attended a business located on County Road 1 in the Ward of Hallowell regarding a theft.
A male had entered the business demanding cash. There was no threat of violence or weapon involved. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men described as:
White male approx. 30-35 years of age, 5’9”, short dark brown hair, wearing a cream coloured jersey with the #1 in black lettering, blue jeans and running shoes.
White male, 30-35 years of age, 5’7”, brown eyes, wearing a dark blue hoodie and blue jeans.

The police investigation continues.
OPP CHARGE IMPAIRED DRIVER
(Prince Edward County, ON)—On July 11, 2015 at 12:13am officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment responded to a complaint of an impaired driver. Within minutes officers observed and stopped the suspect vehicle on County Road 10, Cherry Valley. The driver appeared to have been consuming alcohol.
The male driver, 25-year old Charles FALK of Gander, Newfoundland is charged with Operation With Over 80 mgs. Of Alcohol contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on August 12, 2015.
MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
(Prince Edward County, ON)—On July 10, 2015 at 3:09pm officers from the Ontario Provincial Police attended an assault occurrence involving two males. The incident took place on Paul St., in the Town of Picton. The police investigation revealed that the male victim had been attacked by another man. The victim was not injured. OPP arrested the suspect a short time later.
A 25-year old man, Gary RUTTAN of Sophiasburgh Ward is charged with Assault, contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on August 26, 2015.
