Prince Edward County OPP Press Release

(PRINCE EDWARD, ON) – Officers from the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 61 calls for service during the past weekend. Those calls occurred between Friday September 30th at 4 PM until Monday October 3rd at 8am. Some of the types of investigations conducted included domestic disturbances, Liquor Licence Act calls, noise complaints, traffic complaints and subsequent enforcement and motor vehicle accidents. RIDE checks and bar patrols were also conducted throughout the community.

PICTON MAN CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS OF MISCHIEF

(PICTON, ON) – On October 1st, 2016 at approximately 6:30 PM OPP was called to a licensed establishment in Picton in response to a disturbance. An investigation commenced, and as a result, officers determined that a 32 year old Hallowell man would be charged with 2 counts of Mischief Under $5000 and one count of Mischief Over $5000. The male was released on a Promiser to Appear. He is due to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice, Picton ON, on November 2nd, 2016. His name will not be released in order to protect the victim in this matter.
