August 12 to August 18, 2013
On August 18, 2013 at 2:27 pm police received a call in regards to a young male attempting to light a car on fire while parked in a garage at a location on Park St. East in the Town of Prescott. It was reported the young person was scared off prior getting the fire started. Investigation led to the arrest of a 13 year old male from Prescott. It was also learned this young person was responsible for the following mischiefs reported to police.
August 15th lawn furniture thrown in a pool on Park St. east in Prescott
August 13th two large pails, plastic container of earth, plastic pieces, and screws thrown in a pool on Park St. east
August 12th damage to a lawn mower, damage to lawn ornaments, theft of vice grips and plyers from a residence on Park St. east
All incidents remain under investigation with charges pending.

August 12, 2013
On August 12, 2013 just after 7:00 pm police were called to a residence on James St. West in the Town of Prescott. The homeowner reports she observed a male on her covered front porch. When observed he took off and police were called. Police were provided a description and later arrested a 16 year old male from Prescott. He has been charged with Break, Enter and Theft and is to appear in Brockville Court at a later date.
Thefts from Unlocked Garages
Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township
In the month of July police investigated numerous thefts in the Cardinal area where as the culprits were entering unlocked garages and making off with items from inside. July 19, unlocked garage on George St. a GPS and weed eater battery were stolen. On July 21, an unlocked garage on Middle St., two – 24 cases of beer was stolen. On July 25 an unlocked garage on Benson St. a weed eater and saw were taken. On July 30 on Reid St. tools were taken from an unlocked garage and on Dundas St. a circular saw was stolen. Police believe there may be others that have been victims of this type of occurrence, if so police are asking for the public to report the crimes for investigative purposes and to return recovered stolen property back to their rightful owner.

Augusta Township
August 14 – 15, 2013
On August 15, 2013 it was reported to police that sometime overnight unknown persons had damaged the interior of a front end loader owned by Ken Millar Excavation. The front end loader had been parked overnight on Dixon Rd. in Augusta Township. Damage consisted of the interior been sprayed with a fire extinguisher and a theft was that of a am/fm Pioneer radio. Estimated damage/loss $800.00. Investigation is ongoing.
