(INGERSOLL, ON) – Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of mischief to a Pride flag on June 20, 2016 in the Town of Ingersoll.
A Pride flag had been erected in a park located on the corner of Thames Street and Charles Street in Ingersoll. The flag was erected at that location as a memorial for the victims of the Orlando incident and to commemorate Pride month.
It is believed that between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on June 20, 2016, the flag was removed from the flag pole in that park and was later located in the park garbage can damaged.
Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this crime should immediately contact the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police at 519-485-6554.
