(Amherstview, ON) On Thursday, April 10th, 2014, at 4:45 p.m. an officer performing traffic enforcement on Taylor Kidd Boulevard near County Road 6, Loyalist Township, attempted to stop a westbound black Lincoln LS, 4 door with tinted windows. The Lincoln had no front licence plate.
The vehicle turned south on County Road 6 and accelerated at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was driven dangerously throughout Amherstview and through a stop sign at Manitou Crescent.
The vehicle came to an abrupt stop in front of 107 Amherst Drive (apartments). A male driver was chased by an officer inside the apartment building.
Police would like to hear from anyone who has information on the male driver who was described as being tall, wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and a red and black flannel shirt with shirt tails hanging out from under the hoodie.
