(JOLY TWP, ON) On Saturday October 12, 2013 at approximately 9:45pm, the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police were called to look for two people that had gone missing from a Joly Township residence since 2:00p.m.. The residence is located approximately 17 kilometers east of Pevensey Road on Kent’s Mill Road.
The two missing people, both from Norfolk County went for a drive in the bush on a Yamaha side by side vehicle when they got stuck. The couple attempted to walk back to the residence but went the wrong way and got lost. Police attended and attempted to locate the couple but were unsuccessful that night.
The following day, October 13, 2013 the search for the missing couple continued with the assistance of the North East Region Emergency Response Team and the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police and at approximately 2:00p.m the missing people walked out of the bush. The couple was not injured.
