Police Respond To Domestic Dispute – Police Find Deceased Male

(Trent Lakes, ON) On the 11th of August 2013 at approximately 3:20 am, officers from the Peterborough detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Peterborough County paramedics responded to a family disturbance at a residence on Fire Route 37 in Trent Lakes.

Upon attending the residence, police located a deceased male and proceeded to the arrest of a suspect who is now in custody for a bail hearing tomorrow. A post mortem will be scheduled for the victim to determine a cause of death. The identities of the involved parties are not being released at this time.

The Peterborough OPP Crime Unit under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Paul Yelle, of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), are continuing their investigation.

Both the accused and victim are related and there are no outstanding suspects in this case however the OPP want to remind all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times. The OPP’s website, www.opp.ca, contains a number of useful resources, tips and links.
