POLICE RESPOND TO CALL OF A SUSPICIOUS PERSON

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On April 15, 2014 at 3:20pm members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recieved a report that a male driving a medium sized pickup truck pulled up to a young girl walking on Roy Street in Emo.

Investigation determined that the driver began asking the youth some questions and at one point appeared to be unclasping his seat belt. When a marked OPP cruiser approached the area, the vehicle immediately left.

The girl then went home and advised her parents of the event, and police were contacted.

The vehicle is described as a mid-size pickup truck, silver or gray with a red or maroon topper. The driver is described as a First Nations male in his late 40’s -50’s with wrinkled skin and black medium length, messy hair and one eye that squinted. The male was wearing a maroon t-shirt with American eagle” on the back and a chain bracelet with a skull and heart tattoo on his left arm.
