POLICE REQUESTING ASSISTANCE IN COLLISION INVESTIGATION

(HALIBURTON, ON) – The Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the publics assistance in a Fail To Remain Motor Vehicle Collision Investigation. On October 12, 2013 at approximately 12:45 pm on Highland Street in the village of Haliburton, Dysart et al, a 16 year old Haliburton male was crossing Highland Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The male driver of the vehicle spoke to the injured pedestrian briefly and then left the scene. Witnesses were in the area at the time and observed the collision. The vehicle is described as a grey sports car, possibly a Mercedes. The pedestrian was transported to Haliburton Hospital with minor injuries.

The OPP is asking that anyone with information to please contact the Haliburton Highlands Detachment at (705) 286-1431.
