(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 21-year-old male and a 37-year-old male after police were called to a Kent Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, May 8, 2016 at approximately 9:24 a.m., an alert resident observed a suspicious vehicle stopped on the side of the roadway with two occupants.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that two males were asleep in a vehicle with the doors open. The passenger was subsequently transported to a local area hospital where he then became involved in a physical confrontation with police
As a result, police have charged 21-year-old Ricky GRANT of Norfolk County, Ontario with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of a schedule 1 substance and assault peace officer.
Charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, possession of Hydromorph Contin and possession of fentanyl is 37-year-old Jacob Whittaker PARK of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
