(Bancroft, Ontario) – Officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) Crime Unit arrested two individuals in relation to an incident that had occurred in August of 2014.
On Thursday the 21st of August 2014, the Bancroft O.P.P. had responded to the report of an assault that occurred at a residence on Highway 62 in the village of Maynooth. Investigation revealed that two adult males and two adult females had attended that residence and physically assaulted an adult male and adult female with weapons. The offences occurred at the front of the residence, along Highway 62.
On the 28th day of May 2015, at the request of police, two individuals turned themselves into custody in relation to warrants for them, stemming from that incident. Charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and mischief under five thousand dollars are 27-year-old Todd Gary GALWAY and 40-year-old Lisa Ann BROWN. Both currently reside in St. Albert, Alberta.
Two other accused individuals, 29-year-old Melissa Kathleen KANE and 31-year-old Andy Thomas RIVERS, were arrested in August of 2014 in relation to this same incident, and are currently before the courts.
Todd GALWAY and Lisa BROWN were held in custody, pending an appearance before bail court in Belleville.
