(Russell, ON) On June 17, 2015 at 3:00 PM, OPP Constables responded to a bear sighting just north of Embrun. OPP officers sighted a bear with two cubs near Route 200 and St-Guillaume Road. According to witnesses the bear showed signs of aggression towards humans that were approaching the bears. The OPP is asking anyone that might see the bears not to approach them and to contact OPP by calling 9-1-1 or 1-888-310-1122.
Officers are still at scene trying to locate the bears and making sure no one is put in danger by their presence.
