Mississauga – On Friday November 4, 2016, Halton Regional Police commenced a missing person investigation involving two adult male brothers who were last seen in the area of Tenth Line and Thomas Street in the City of Mississauga.
On Tuesday November 8, 2016, at 2:22pm, Halton Regional Police located a motor vehicle submerged in a pond in the area Ninth Line and Thomas Street in the City of Mississauga. With the assistance of the Peel Regional Police Marine Unit, a Silver BMW was recovered from the pond. Investigation revealed that the recovered vehicle is associated to the two missing brothers, Hamza KHAN and Shahruka KHAN. During a further search of the pond, two deceased persons were also recovered from the water. The identification of the deceased parties will not be confirmed until the post mortem has been completed and next of kin has been notified.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have observed or have video footage of this vehicle in the area of Thomas Street between and Tenth and Ninth Line during the evening hours of Friday November 4, 2016.
