POLICE INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS FIRE

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On September 13, 2014 at approximately 8:21 a.m. Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Fire Department and Middlesex Centre Fire crews were on scene of a fully engulfed structure fire at the Fellowship Baptist Church on Fairgrounds Road, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

There were no injuries and the total cost of damage has yet to be determined.

The fire is being investigated by Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police with the assistance of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal.

Police have learned there may have been two vehicles in the area at the time of the fire.
