(HURON TWP, ON) – On August 16, 2013 at 9:07 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 21 and Bruce County Road 6. Officers attended with Bruce County EMS and Ripley Fire Department to find both vehicles off the road, south west of the intersection.
Both vehicles had 1 occupant. 1 driver has been pronounced dead, the other has been transported to Kincardine hospital with life threatening injuries. The identity is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation. Highway 21 has been closed between Concession 6 and Concession 10 of Huron Township.
The South Bruce OPP appreciates the cooperation of drivers avoiding the incident area.
